  • ENTRY LEVEL STAFF ACCONTANT CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO

    BHM CPA Group is a growing, dynamic, and progressive CPA firm. We have an immediate need to add team members to our Circleville office. We are an innovative accounting firm, with a forward-thinking culture which rewards effort, teamwork, and client service, and provides a true balance between work and life commitments.     We are currently seeking candidates for an entry-level staff accountant position in our Circleville, Ohio location.

    Our ideal candidates for this position would have a background in accounting, a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting or someone with equivalent experience. We would be willing to work around school schedules until graduation, if necessary. You should also have a strong work ethic, be enthusiastic, be ambitious, be analytical, be inquisitive and work well with others. You should possess the ability to stay organized, have great attention to detail, excellent follow- through skills as well as strive for excellent customer service. You should be able to manage multiple responsibilities, deadlines and commitments as well as communicate effectively both verbally and written.

    Responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

    •   Prepare a variety of taxes including business, personal, payroll and other taxes using Ultra Tax software and QuickBooks software.

    •   Assist with the preparation of financial statement compilation and review engagements.

    •   Monthly general ledger work including bank reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.

    •   Assist clients in using QuickBooks.

    •   Keep up to date with current accounting and tax issues and legislative changes.

    •   Monitor the work flow and due dates for assigned client projects.

    • TAX ACCOUNTANT CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO

      Our ideal candidates would have 1-5 years of experience within the tax department of a public accounting firm, with exposure to federal, state, and local income tax compliance for individuals, S Corporations, and partnerships. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, as is a strong desire to be a part of a team environment which focuses on collaboration, contribution, self- motivation, and client service.

      A successful candidate would be enthusiastic, ambitious, analytical, and focused, and who possesses the ability to stay organized, has a great attention to detail, excellent follow-through skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, deadlines and commitments. Another key to success in this position is the ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal form.

      Responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

      •   Preparation of a variety of complex tax returns, including business, personal, and other taxes

      •   Lead effective communication between the client and other members of the firm

      •   Monitor the workflow and due dates for assigned client projects

      •   Assist tax department personnel with client matters, including responding to notices from

        taxing agencies, assistance with IRS examinations, and preparation of client advice

        letters

      •   Keeping current with accounting and tax issues and legislative changes

      •   Providing clients with QuickBooks assistance

        Position requirements

      •   A Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting

      •   1-5 years direct experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm, with

        experience preparing income tax returns for individuals and businesses

      •   CPA, CPA eligible, or a specific plan to obtain eligibility to take the CPA exam, and a plan to complete the exam in the near future.
